WEEK FOUR 

    ONLINE CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR 


This Wednesday we were given information about Online Consumer Behaviour and how consumer behave an online platform also researching the Online Customer and Decision Making Process.

According to Solomon (2006) the Consumer Behaviour is the study of the processes involved when individuals or groups select, purchase, use or dispose of products, services, ideas or experiences to satisfy needs and desires, giving importance to how consumers affect the marketing strategy.

According  to Chaffey & Chadwck (2012) The motivations, media consumption preferences and selection process used by consumers as they use digital channels together with traditional channels to purchase online products and use other online services. 

 Then we were given types of modelling our consumers ;


  • Lewis and Lewis
  • Direct information seekers 
  • Undirected information seekers 
  • Direct buyers 
  • Bargain Hunters 
  • Entertainment Seekers 

Including how Chaffey & Chadwick (2012) identified those three types of behavior to aid a website design.

  • Tracker:They know which product to buy and uses the website to check price, availability, delivery times, additional charges or after sales
  • HunterThey are not specific but knows the type of product attempting to be precise.
  • ExplorerThey have no ideas in mind but may have a general objective.

To continue the teacher gave us the task one which consist in compare my last online shopping with the person on my left to write the differences in the purchase process. 
Continue with the decision-making process and online buying process.
